Ardèche, the land of goats

There are far fewer wild goats than there used to be, but at every turn you might come across them, sometimes even right in the middle of the road. Herds lounge on the circuit of the Ardèche gorges; be careful, you never know what you could find behind a curve.

Do not hesitate to visit the farms, some of them, sometimes offer a mountain walk with the troupe for a few euros. An unforgetable experience.

Did you know? Our goats are sacred, don’t touch them; the people of Ardèche, just like the people of the Gard, are mobilizing to protect the freedom of their wild goats and billy goats... after all, the territory belongs to them, they were there before us! the same goes for farmed goats, they offer us cheese, we offer them peace.
